When my wife and I were expecting our first child in late 2026, we needed to put together a gift registry for our upcoming baby shower. There were plenty of gift registry websites and apps on the market, but most felt overly complicated, especially for our less tech-savvy guests.

So as a form of nesting , we built our own to ensure our guests would have a slightly better experience and, more importantly, increase our chances of getting the gifts we actually wanted 😅.

When my car overheated, I seriously considered buying a "new" car. The wise choice always seemed to be to purchase a used car instead of a new car because everyone knows that a new car loses ~30% of its value once you drive it off the showroom floor. Right? Well, once I started looking at the used car market (in late 2023) the used car prices didn't seem to match my expected savings when compared to buying a new car.

CarPriceValue keeps track of what specific cars are selling for and compares them to the expected market value. It shows you if a car is over or under priced based on similar cars on the market.

It has become increasingly difficult to separate your work life and personal life, especially when it comes to using your phone. One solution is to get a separate phone for all your work needs, but that means buying and maintaining an extra phone.

OneLessPhone gives you all the benefits of having separate work phone number without the need for an extra phone in your pocket.

This is relaunch of my previous "Business In A Box" project. Funny enough, this is when the project finally gets its own website.

Despite there being thousands of ways for businesses to get their own website and email address, it's still not a solved problem. People still fumble when it comes to figuring out how a domain, hosting, and email address all fits together. That's were the opportunity lies.

OpenForWeb is a productized-service where I build and manage a small-business's website and email address.

Since Apple's infamous iOS-14.5 update, Facebook has had difficulty tracking a users journey from their app to a third-party website. This lack of visibility increased the cost of Facebook advertising and reduced the effectiveness of their ads. AdSlicer bridges the data gap by being a third-party web tracker that links ecommerce events back to a marketer's Facebook advertising efforts.

Slack has made it incredibly easy to integrate with their platform. It's as easy posting data to a URL. What if it was just as easy to integrate with Twitter, Facebook, or even Gmail? That's exactly what Social Hooks tries to achieve. It turns a complicated OAuth integration flow into a single URL that you can use to post to (almost) any social platform.

This was my attempt at a productized service. The idea was that friends & family normally ask me to help them with tech stuff, so why not provide that as a service? When it comes to setting up a website, people are spoiled for choice, but yet it's still not obvious where to start. So I wrote an article outlining the basics of what goes into setting up a website, with an option to contact me to do it for you.

The point of Good Wash is to help struggling members of the community earn a sustainable income. The idea is to provide:

• Credibility through branding
• Structure through a predictable source of income
• Basic equipment to get the job done
• Tech needed to accept payments

Word-of-mouth referrals are still the most effective way of hiring new employees. The problem is that most of the time your own employees don’t even know what skills your company is looking for. We solve this problem by sending your employees a weekly email update on open positions at your company. Each email is tracked and any successful hire can easily be attributed back to the original referring employee. Stop paying recruiters and start rewarding your own employees instead.

While I was at university, I figured out that professors were just as lazy as students. So when it came time to setting up tests and exam papers, a lot of the questions were just copy-pasted from pervious papers. So what if there a website where I could download previous papers that could help me prepare for my exams? The website became wildly popular amongst students, but I lost interest after leaving university.
